…On the Fourth Day of Blogmas

Hello readers and welcome to the Fourth Day of Blogmas as we join in with this fabulous Christmas sing-a-long, all brought to you by the fantastic mind of Athena from AmbiGaming.

So! What are we singing about today? Well…

On the 4th day of Christmas, the gamers said to me: Give us 9 games on your to-play list

Lets sing!

On the 1st day of Christmas, the gamers said to me: What are 12 favorite gaming memories?

On the 2nd day of Christmas, the gamers said to me: Tell us 11 games you love!

On the 3rd day of Christmas, the gamers said to me: What are 10 reasons you’d play a game

On the 4th day of Christmas, the gamers said to me: Give us 9 games on your to-play list

This should be a pretty easy one since there are a TON of games old and new that I’m looking forward to playing! I’ve limited myself to the specified 9, but could easily have doubled that number.

Pix Xmas

  1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Torna: The Golden Country – Ok, an obvious one to start, and one I think you may have assumed I’ve already played. You know how much I like Xenoblade right? Well in 2018 Monolith Soft released a story DLC pack to go with the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game which is set 500 years before the events of the main game. I love the characters, the world and the lore so I can’t wait to dive into this one!
  2. Tales of Berseria – I often talk about the Tales of… series on the blog but have actually only ever finished one of the games, therefore I’m really looking forward to getting into the most recent entry in the series, especially as I was impressed with the announcement trailers – it seems to have a really dark vibe! Having just received it for Christmas from my wonderful partner, I really have no excuse now!
  3. Horizon Zero Dawn – I just love the look of this game and have heard so many great things about it that I really hope I get to give it a go soon. I have a feeling I may find it ridiculously difficult, but I (occasionally) like to challenge myself to try new things so this is definitely on the to-play list.
  4. Final Fantasy XV – I wasn’t initially that interested in the newest installment in the mainline Final Fantasy series, however as time has gone on and I’ve seen how much some people love it I think I’m definitely going to play it sooner rather than later, if only to admire Noct’s hair.
  5. Untitled Goose Game – OK, so I have a weird appreciation of geese that other people don’t seem to, therefore the tagline “It’s a lovely day in the village and you are a horrible goose” was all I needed from developer House House to convince me that this is going to be the best game ever. Set for release in early 2019 I’m going to have to get my schedule clear just in case it drops straight after the inevitable Nintendo Direct in January.

  6. Devil May Cry 5 – The more I see, read and hear about the latest Devil May Cry game the more I can’t wait to play it. Fast action, incomparable style and a weird love of Strawberry Sundays make for an awesome combination.
  7. Resident Evil Zero – I’m not sure how well this game was received but there is one big reason why it is on my to play list, and that is that during some kind of drunken evening with my partner, I agreed that I would play this game. He usually plays the Resident Evil games whilst I watch from the sofa, shouting ‘advice’, but this one I’m going to play myself. Not sure how that’s going to go but we’ll see!
  8. Life is Strange – This is a game I’ve been interested in for ages but somehow, possibly because it isn’t the type of game I usually play, I’ve put off getting it. However, my best friend obviously saw through this and bought it for me for Christmas, so now I’m looking forward to finally trying it.
  9. Dead or Alive 6 – Apparently Koei Tecmo have toned down the, er, boob mechanics for the latest Dead or Alive game, which to be honest will probably serve to make it better. It’s been a long time since a new DOA came out, and I for one can’t wait to get back to it and start kicking ass with my main, Tina.

So what do you think? You fancy any of these games? Or maybe you’ve played some of them already? Let me know below and be sure to check out all of the other Blogmas posts over at Ambi Gaming. Thanks as always to Athena for organising the whole shebang!

Thanks for reading,

  1. SO many games… so little time. HZD is amazing and I hope you enjoy it. I also haven’t played a Tales game in a while. I remember really loving Symphonia back in the day.
