On Saturday June 9th 2018, this rookie went to her first Games Expo. Held at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow for its third year, Play Expo promised to be a big event full of both modern and retro gaming experiences, and I’m excited to share my thoughts on the event with you here.
Well, that’s it. The Final Catwalks have been walked, the judges have been impressed (and occasionally unimpressed) by the level of FASHION on show. After an arduous and nerve wracking deliberation process, the judges have spoken. So let’s find out who is the stylishest of them all!

Pix1001 was the first to wake up in the cave’s chamber. Her stasis capsule hissed open at 15:17 on April 4th 2118…100 years later. They had failed. The asteroid had hit Earth. It must have done, or else why was she in stasis? Her memory was hazy…the others…did anyone else survive?
The idea that video games are a direct cause of violence has been in the news a lot recently. Some of this news has come from a certain president who decided to focus on video games as a cause of gun violence, rather than addressing the bigger picture. I don’t feel qualified to write an essay on the realities of this, but what it did remind me of is that no matter what the facts of video game related violence, games are still undoubtedly responsible for many positive things in our lives, and the article that follows is aiming to show just that.
